Baby Bumble Bees and Footballs

Anna has been learning so much during nursery. She has a great leader, Sis, Christiansen, who teaches her all sorts of songs. I usually spend the week trying to figure out what song she is trying to sing. However, last week I understood the words to "I'm bringing home a baby bumble bee, won't my mommy be so proud of me. I squishing up a baby bumble bee..." We sang the song together a couple of times. On Friday I was getting ready for the day after the kids were home from school when I heard a very loud shriek from the family room. It was Emily and so I ignored it because she usually over dramatizes everything. The screaming continued so I walked out to see what was going on. There Anna stood holding a wasp by its wings bringing it into me. She stood so proud and couldn't figure out why Emily was freaking out! I sometimes wonder who thinks up the songs that we sing to our children.

Jake came programmed to love sports. He carries a ball, bat, tennis racket, etc. around with him everywhere. We cannot get him to sit and watch Clifford or the Berenstain Bears, but when ESPN plays football, golf or tennis (women's included) he will stop what he is doing and zone in to the TV. He climbed up on my brother's lap and sat for 20 minutes just watching a football game with him. THIS IS CRAZY!!! I am definitely learning that boys and girls come very differently.
